The mouth watering joys of Loches market

One of the pleasures of my simple life is visiting the market held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for hundreds of years in the beautiful medieval town of Loches.

Browsing around the tempting markets stalls loaded with fresh produce, much of it produced within 50 kms of the Town.

Gerbe D’Or

Had lunch recently at the Gerbe D’Or in Loches, a lovely little restaurant just off the Place du Ble in the centre of Loches. Its only been open about 3 or 4 years but has acquired a reputation for good dining at reasonable prices, in fact booking for lunch is normally necessary.
